Good morning! In Islam, one should not be forced to do anything, but it should come out of pure belief. So Islam shouldn't force women to cover up from head to toe, that's the true religion. in my own opinion and knowledge, it's a matter of cultural habits. eastern cultures in general, and Arabs especially are still holding on to their culture, they force their women to cover up not because of religion, but because of their own culture, because they think it's shameful if she got exposed to others and so on, and they use religion as an excuse. in what it seems like the most strictly "Islamic" country, Saudi Arabia,I can assure MOST women wear Hijab because of their culture, not religion. because everyone else wears hijab…because it would be abnormal if a woman walked in the street without being covered. now I dont say all muslim women are forced, but just like in judasm, Hijab should worn because of religious virtues as well, many muslim women wear it willingly, now why does every conversation that has nothing to do with religion has to turn into a fight between Jews and Christians and Muslims?...lol
