Hello,

May I ask the meaning of "tuck in" in this sentence? "What am I supposed to do with him? Tuck him in ?"

        Thank you very much.

Hi! To "tuck someone in" usually means to put them in bed. Parents "tuck in" their children at night by putting them in bed and pulling the blankets over them.

We usually tuck in children, not adults. So if the speaker is talking about an adult, he is probably being sarcastic.

Does that help?

Thanks!

Dear Amy,

Thank you so much. Yes. I found it from the movie. He might be sarcastic to say that he had to put his autistic brother in bed.

A lot in English to be learnt.
