Hello,

How can we use these 3 words; smell, fragrance, and scented? If I would like to buy a candle, can I ask "Do you have this kind of candle in jasmine smell?" Thank you very much.

Hi! Great question. Generally,"smell" is used as a verb. I can "smell" dinner cooking.

"Scent" is a noun. I smell a delicious "scent."

"Fragrance" is also a noun. It usually refers to a scent that is sweet and pleasing. Perfumes and colognes are often called "fragrances." I love that "fragrance" you have on.

It would be best to say, "Do you have this kind of candle in a jasmine scent?" You can also refer to a jasmine-scented candle.
