My English homework is to write an essay about "If your life is a story, what will you title it". I am coming up two answers.Which do you think is better? These topics are supposed to reflect my compelling personalities.

1 If I were to give a title to my entire life story up until this point, I would title it “Rafting in torrents.” My life has surge and fall. Like rafting in the torrents, my parents are my rafts who hold me all along the canyon of life. My friends are my helmets who protect me from the spiky rocks. My teachers are like the rote that leading me forward.

2 If I were to give a title to my entire life story up until this point, I would title it” a risk taker.” I have been a risk taker since my primary school. When I was in 5th grade, I skipped the 6th grade and went to junior directly because I think the 6th grade was not challenging.When I went to high school, during the massive selection in Campus News anchor Competition, I apply for a position in reporting room. No students there seem to have as less experience in anchor as I am. I can tell from their fabulous resume and confident face. But I managed to speak for people like me, who doesn’t participate in news report before that we are made of our dream. I believe my passion in news will make a difference.

Hi! I like both paragraphs. The first one is a very nice metaphor. But I like how the second one uses specific examples of incidents from your life. Maybe you should use the first one but try to give more specific examples of why the title to your life story would be "rafting in torrents."
