After months of training for a provincal and national English Speaking contest, I failed in the election of becoming a representitive of my university. In the end, I only earn an honorable mention. All my effort can never be my debut on the splendid stage. Sometimes I wonder that why my way to success is always under construction. In the bottom of my heart, I know that what I have gained in the process is extremely valuable and precious. I have improved my pronounciation and practiced my writing skills and developed my analytical thinking ability. Although I stiil have some problems in speaking English like a native person, I firmly believe that poor pronounciation is a hard habit to break, but it can be done. I told myself the experiences are enough.

Now, my friends, my new aim is to conquer TOEFL. I will devote all my energy and passion to the preparation of it. My teacher has ever told me that "Nothing more than diligence can predict your success. If you lie upon roses when young, you'll lie upon thorns when old. With time and patience the leaf of the mulberry becomes satin." All the difficulties and troubles are dwarfed in the front of the words. Nothing in life is to be feared but understood. If I fully prepared, I can not only survive but also thrive in the exam. Talk the Talk, walk the walk.

Bon voyage!
