Last Friday was a great moment for me and for my daughters, we celebrate Ied Ul Adha, for the second time that my daughters getting to know what Ied Ul Adha is. We took Ied pray in the morning, my daughters know how to pray and they made it solemnly. I'm so proud of my daughters. (Thanks mom!Hehe..)

After the pray, an hour later, what we were longing to see was the slaughtering sacrificial was held in the mosque yard in front of my house. We had cow, we sacrificed it for our lovely deceased daddy. Hope the reward could help him in another world. There are many cows and goats to hamstrung.

my daughters said "poor cow mama!", and my lil' daughter told me that the cow was crying, Undecided and then she said "why don't we sacrifice cats either? there are many cats around." UndecidedUndecided

I don't know exactly how to explain about Ied Ul Adha. I know how's the story and as far as I know, it's the time for Muslims to grateful and share with all the Muslims dhuafa around the world. While Muslims in Mekkah doing Hajj.

My twin daughters and their close twin friends were longing to see the slaughtering sacrificial. Sometimes they were crying of scaring, but willing to see it closely.

Yes, I know the story of Ibrahim and Ismail in Al-quran. And I know the history about sacrificing. But I'm not sure about the literal, the place, the time, the letter. And I can't describe it partly, I'm not the expert. Some might have the quality to make it!

I read your thought and i want to say sacrifice is old tradition when God told Ibrahim to leave his father's land.God told him to sacrifice his son Isac to test his faith which he did that and then God stopped him not to do that because, God truly believed Ibrahim had faith Base on old testament not Koran. In Koran we read Ishmael, son of Hager was there as a sacrifice. At the end God ordered to sacrifice some animals. But it was a symbol of getting puer from sin and had a new covenant with God in order to obey God.
