antisocial or hobby..what do u think?

is someone who chat in internet a lot called antisocial because he or she  prefers to talk and make cyber friends rather than talking and socializing with real people in real live...so guys what do u think about that ..is this .i am just confused .i have a friend who spend hours on internet only to chatting with strangers.may be it is her hobby but later,i found out that he doesnt know his next door,he never even  say hi to anyone...i would like to hear your comment..thankx guys
