I’m always impressionable of love stories, especially the moving ones, like <The Yellow Handkerchief>. It’s a really old story, I have heard about it many years before. It’s generally predictable and the emotional puppeteering is all too easy and familiar. But I must acknowledge that it touch me deep inside. Many people like this story a lot, for the amazing ending. As we know, the yellow handkerchief becomes the symbol of love, arousing tender feelings deeply from our hearts.

The story is a perfect crescendo. At first, the leading character Vingo acted shy and indifferent, because there was a long story in his head, he was not willing to share it. But at last he told his story about the big oak tree in Bruswick. When they arrived there, Vingo hesitated to look at the tree. Though he has the strong expectation of going back home and getting together with his family, he stopped looking as if fortifying himself against still another disappointment. Finally the big oak tree covered with yellow handkerchieves appeals to our sentiment. As we are civilized human beings,we’d like to know that things goes towards a good situation. We’d like to read this kind of moving stories.

Above all, I think this is a story about forgiveness, wating and love. It convinces that there’s true love around us. Love goes on as time goes by. Believing in love and you will finally get it.
