Feel free to ask at anytime! that`s the reason we are here, to write each others :). Let me explain you, Here in Chile (my country) Firefighters are volunteers, we have funds from the goverment but no salary it`s kind of a help thing. In my case I got my psychology degree last year and now I`m working as a psychologist in a Health Family Center treating depression, domestical violence and alcoholism, in Osorno (a southern chilean city). I work from 8 am to 5 pm, and then I spend some time with my girlfriend and friends. After that I`m going to the firestation. Young single people, like me, have the chance to live in the firestation in a facility called “nightwatch” it`s like a house with kitchen, rooms, bathroom, gameroom, etc… there I live with 8 more firefighters (mostly my best friends) everyone has its room and we have to be there if something happen at night.. so I enter on duty at 22:00 until 7:00 (on this time obviosly you can sleep, but if the alarm sounds you have to go to emergency) ... so I`m a psychologist from 8 to 17:00 , a dude from 17:00 to 22:00 and firefighter from 22:00 to 7:00… I have two weekends per month to do everything I want and the other two at nightwatch too… that`s kind of my life :)
