Last week, two boys from the Jewish community in Yemen were beaten and insulted by Houthi gunmen in the center of the Yemeni capital Sana’a.
Reuters reporter in Yemen, Mohammed Al-Ghabari, said that Robin and Isaac are of the Jewish community who were displaced from their villages in Sa’ada and Amran, north of the capital Sana’a.
He explained they were beaten and insulted by the popular committees of the Houthis after they bought things from Bab al-Yemen. They were also forced to pray for the Prophet Muhammad.
A few families of the Jewish community live in the tourist city in Sana’a after they were forced by a group of Houthis to leave their homes and villages in Sa’ada province in 2007, while other families left Raida in Amran governorate due to Houthis threats to them.
