I want to make new friends

Hello everyone my name is Joy. I am a Thai national but I am now living in England with my English husband. We have no children but I love shopping, cooking, spending time with my friends, etc. I want to make friends who want to practise English the same as I do. I have an English husband but in my opinion it is better not just learn how to speak English but also to learn about other cultures, languages and make new friends. I am a Thai woman and my first language is Thai. English is my second language and I still have to practise even though I am living in the UK.

My husband visited Bulgaria a few years ago and he told me how lovely the people are there. He also said the weather was very nice. He wants to buy a small house there, not to far from a seaside town centre when he retires from his job.

It would be nice if you could tell me more about your country. Am I correct that Bulgaria is another of the new European countries? Which currency do you use, Euro or Lev? We still use the pound stirling in the UK.
