today i will talk about something more difficult  but i will try to summarize it  and if u dont  understand plsss  tell me

the difference  between horrible / horrific

horrible / to describe sth as  horrible (awful) when you do not like it at all

horrific/to describe sth as horrific when it is really upsetting or frightening to think about it or speak about it

example / It was a horrific motorway accident: five  people died

I cannot think of a sentence that would require the use of "horrific". "Horrible" is always correct. Some people may like to use "horrific" but it is purely a stylistic decision. For instance:

It was a horrible motorway accident: five people died.

is perfectly correct. In fact, as a native speaker, I prefer it.

I cannot recall seeing "horrific" used at all before, perhaps, 1980.
