Hello danidani!

Well… I was a little reluctant to answer your question, but I couldn't avoid!

Ok… será, in the context you presented, is a word that we use to ask ourselves about something we are not sure… What you can use to express the same idea in English is the word wonder. When you use wonder like that, you don't use the question mark (?). So, your sentence could be translated into English as: "I wonder if it's going to work."

I hope it had helped you!

Hey,danidani! I think that we could also say: Is it going to work? But in this case the translation would be: Isso irá funcionar/dar certo?

I also hope I helped you! But I know that Michellita gave you the best explanation! She is really good. :-)
