Many students who are not good at English are perplexed by how to study English well . I think the most important thing for us to study English well is to practise more . There are four points for you to remember .
First , you should practice your vocabulary. Vocabulary is the base of the language . If you want to study a foreign language , you must build up English vocabulary by yourself . Some students say that remembering the new words is very difficult. But I think , when you remember the meanings of the words , part of speech and the main uses of the words , you should imagine the new word and catch on its meaning . Then you can learn it by heart . If you put the word isolated , then to remember its spelling and part of speech , you will feel tedious and more difficult to remember it deeply . It will be better if you make a list of explanations of words . When you take a bus or sometimes have nothing to do , you can just recite it .
Second, you should practise your spoken English, when you read the text for the first time , you just read the words one by one and clearly. After doing this , you can link the words up , and read it quickly and loudly . When you speak English with others , you should speak aloud and clearly , so that others can hear you . Remember this , reading more can help you master spoken English . I have ever heard this , “ Nothing should be written before it has been read .” So writing is based on the premise to pratice spoken English .”
Third , you should practice your ability of reading . When doing reading exercises, you must know the main idea of the text and be adept in catching the important information and some sentences which are related to the text . And sometimes you should guess some new words reasonably with plenty of your imagination. Besides , if you get more vocabulary, it will give you a big advantage over others .
Fourth, you should practice your writing . Without writing , learning English well will become difficult for you . It i *cellent for you to outline your raw material before you write an article .
All above are just some skills . In a word , if you put your whole heart to learn English , you will learn it well.
