Hi Folks,

       I am new to this community.I need to know the difference between wait and await.

Not only this i need to know about"Where we have to use wont".Can i use it for Present tense? I  am very much happy  for this type of sites.I am once again congrats to who developed this site and the people who are all gaining from this site.

I will try to explain this.

Await is more formal than wait. Await is rarely spoken.  Unless you have heard someone with very good spoken English say this, I would use wait. 

Await means 'to wait for'. For example, "we were awaiting his arrival".

Wait implies a length of time. For example, wait a moment, wait ten minutes, we waited for two weeks.

 

 

Are you sure you meant wont, or did you mean to say want? I'm not sure I understand your question.
