Remember one's name

Hello,

         May I ask a question? In the lesson "Lead someone on", Mason said that Ella could remember his name. I just wondered whether "remember one's name" has any indirect meaning or not because in this context it does not make sense Mason said that Ella could remember his name as they are friends, they should remember each other's names.

Hi! Good question. This line is a joke. It is supposed to show that Mason really has no reason to think that Ella is leading him on. He lists examples of things that obviously do not mean she likes him. "Remember one's name" has no secret meaning.
