Interesting questions. “I went through my friend” probably means something like, “I did it with the help of my friend.” For instance:


Person A: “How did you get such a good price on those boots?”


Person B: “I went through my friend, who works at a shoe store. She was able to get me a discount.”



As for your second question, I think you might mean “When I am done sweeping the floor.” This means, when I have finished sweeping the floor.
