A customer wants to book 3 flight tickets. I am the customer service represetative of British Airways and I wnat to know about the seating arrangements of the 3 tickets, like whether he wants all the window seats or stuff like that. So my question to you is what shall I tell the customer or how to form the question so that the customer can give me the details of his seating arrangement?

You could ask the customer what his seating preferences are. You could also ask the customer whether he prefers aisle seats, window seats, or middle seats.

“What are your seating preferences?” is correct.


“Preference” means “what a person wants.” The question, “What would you like your seating preferences to be?”, while grammatically correct, is actually redundant.
