do something for someone or something else

2. Use - Learn how the slang is used.

Go Super to Listen Go Super!

You can’t really watch the news without hearing the phrase take over. When a new president is elected, he or she takes over the government. When one company buys another, they take it over.

When you take something over, you assume control of it. You do the job someone else used to do. But it isn’t just politicians and businessmen who take things over. You can take over anything someone else was doing before you.

Mason is playing a video game and wants to get some pizza. He asks Devan to take over, so she sits down and starts playing. Dale walks up and says he would like to take over the game. When Mason comes back, he wants to take over again, but Dale won’t let him.

Can you think of a time when you took over for someone else?

Examples

1. Examples - Hear some example sentences.

Go Super to Listen Go Super!

“The new vice president took over the marketing division of the company.”

“If you get tired of driving, I can take over.”

Sometimes i take over my friends work, and sometimes they take over my work.  But i prefer to start and finish something on my own. In my place where i live we help each other fluently, you know its a village, so we have really strong relationship. If we work for our social community, we help each other and take over each other work, depend in what work we do.

i really dont like take over any thing in my life i like to do all thing by my self

i prefer to find a good way to resolve  all problems which i will facing it in my work

frankly i dont know how of the others doing this i really surprising

all people are suffering from take over because of the corruption which spread in our conscience this is the truth

there are a lot of companys around the world suffer from economic and financial crises because we have misconspation and mistakes idea about work group

we should to change some ideas if we want to reach at a high position in our works we cant to be perfect all the time

i always doing my work professional without any mistakes i dont like any one helps me i prefer to finish my obligation bt my self

so nice if we depend on ourselves so useful if we change our experience together if we do it i am sure we will be happy

we have a lot of sacrifices in fact as the same time as we remember the most thing good must to be in our selves it.s ethics

any civilization was urged on the Secretariat in work

my advice we should to exploit all thing for us

thank you very much baby for this usufel topic we appreciate all thing here

Take over at the wheel to drive me home – it is a useful phrase. Is there any other way to express the meaning that “Drive my car to send me home, I can’t drive cause I get drunk”?

Sometime if you leave your position you have to find some one take over your job,and on behalf of you to attend some meeting or other activities, and also when some time take place the unpredictable, you also have to ask someone take over your position to do somethings actually,i think each import positions of company have the backup candidate, such as  vice-president to take over president’s job once the president can not in the position in time, also in some game team, such as football team and basktball team and so forth, you can find the candidate in it to avoid the main role can not handle something in time.

Last week I went to a party and had  been drinking too much wine, therefore a friend of mine  had to take over at the wheel to drive me home.
