I found some guys translated some chinese ancient poems to practise english. I think it's interesting. So I'll try to translate one here.
Peom of chrysanthemum
(Huang Chao , the Tang dynasty,China)
When the autumn come belong to mine,
I blossom out but all others die!
My smell fill the ChangAn and rush up the sky,
Everywhere in the city golden armors shine!
(Note:
1, ChangAn was the capital of Tang Dynasty.
2, The writer of this poem was the insurrectionist of the Tang dynasty.
Before writing the poem, he just failed imperial examinations, so he give up becoming a goverment officer, and decide to rebel.
In the poem, he admired chrysanthemum on the surface, but we can see his ambition in the line.
Five years later after writing this poem, Huang Chao led his army conquered ChangAn.)
