I saw your music thread and I just had to join to say hello. You guys are fantastic at English! I hope you don't mind if I share a few of my favorite bands with you. Maybe some of you like them, too? These are in no particular order. They're just whatever comes to mind while I'm typing.

  • Spoon (I watched the live concert on ATT Blue Room, tonight so they are the first band I thought of)
  • Alejandro Escovedo (saw his band at a festival last weekend)
  • Chuck Prophet (he was at the festival, too. He also joined Escovedo's set and they were outstanding!)
  • Spinto Band (also at the festival, very young and very very good)
  • The Shackeltons (a local band and just a killer act that you have to see!)
  • The Hold Steady (their new album, Stay Positive, is brilliant!)
  • Tom Waits (GENIUS. He's touring Europe. Hope you get to see him.)
  • Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (love the new album, Dig Lazarus, Dig!!!)
  • Wilco (would love to see live someday, I hear it's a must)
  • My Morning Jacket (very good new album called, Evil Urges)
  • Gogol Bordello (saw them at Bonnaroo on Blue Room and they are unbelievable!!!)

Oh, I have a gazillion more. I could be here all daaaayyyy! Wow, it's really hard to type messages in this tiny little square, isn't it?
