Migs: So I hear you’re like a String Cheese Incident groupie now, or something.
Beth: Well, I don’t know about groupie, but I definitely like their music.
Migs: So, you went to their show, what, last weekend or something?
Beth: Yeah. It was really sweet. They, uh, did a great show here in Portland, and they, uh, had a pretty huge turnout. There’s a, a large String Cheese crowd here in Oregon.
Migs: So, is String Cheese kinda like, uh, a group like the Grateful Dead, or Phish[/def] or something? Like, what’s special about them?
Beth: Well, they’re special because they have really good roots. They’re a, a real Colorado band and they have… It’s a pretty eclectic, uh, band. They have a great sound, and they have just a funky, kind of rhythmic, uh, style that few other bands I’ve heard have. And, they’re a lot like Phish and the Grateful Dead in that the people who, uh, follow them are really loyal.
Migs: What do you call those people? Like, there were “Deadheads,” and Phish… I don’t know what you call the Phish people. Are there, like, “Cheeseheads” or something? Or what do you call ‘em?
Beth: Yeah, I think that’s what they’re called, but it’s probably time that they come up with a better name for, uh, String Cheese fans.

Sounds like Beth had a good time at the concert. I’ve actually never been to a String Cheese show, but I have listened to one of their CD’s. I’m not sure that their music is my style, but I can see how other people are into it.
If you like the Grateful Dead, or Phish, you’ll probably like String Cheese. You should check them out!
Rock on,
Migs
