Hi Everybody… I 'm glad that you raised up this topic Zeus, it's really a good point of discussion. And as i can see, everybody here doesn't want war. Of course i suppose everybody will agree with me if i say this… War never brought and never will be bringing any good… it will always have a bad, sad and hurting effects not only to the involved sides but also to the whole world… I'm sad that the present conflict in Israel & Lebanon started only for the sake of two lives… it took at least a thousand lives now, so many wounded and million homeless and/or displaced. Well of course as we know it it did not only started with that hostage of two Israeli soldier… too many violent reasons already happened…meaning it rooted long time ago. But why war? what is really the main cause of this earthly catastrophic phenomenon? Well it is obvious that it was caused by our human weaknesses… HATRED, REVENGE, JEALOUSY, SELFISHNESS, HUNGER FOR POWER and $MONEY$, PRIDE, UNFORGIVINGNESS and most of all OUT OF LOVE. Let me show you one basic example…one young boy had been beaten by another boy simply because he took his candy…Now let us analyze the situation. If the boy did not took the other boy's candy then he will not be beaten. But what if the boy who has the candy just gave it to the other boy and just fogave him then there will be no beating. Or what if the boy with candy just went to their teacher or parents to solve the problem? And the authority (parents or teachers) would have deal the situation fair and justly? My point is simple…. forgive… giving up…and reliance for the better authority? But i can say that because of our pride, quick judgement and vengeance attitude, we are always tempted to fight back… thats our weakness.. we hardly know who will be the authority if we are in pain..if we were aggravated. We forgot that we are only human… that we have God as our sole and higher authority just like the boys they have their parents or teachers as their higher authority during that situation. What if Israel just forgave and let the authority deal with it? What if they stop now? Oh no, of course that is impossible to happen… but just as this discussion is all about how can we stop that war? Just as we say, "dont look for who is to blame, but rather look for the solution". Let us now focus on the effects of this war. Lets us not side whether to Israel or Lebanon or any warring forces, let us be concern first and foremost to the victims of this war – the civilians, babies and mothers – people. I think media all over the world must focus on this victims not the war itself… but the people, how are they being affected by this useless war. Media should feature more about the very life of these displaced, homeless and grieving victims of war… whatever their side is, we must be involved, we must care about their sorrows…then we will start there… let the compassion & care lead us to start helping the war to stop… It will never stop if we will be in rage, blaming either side. I know we can't stop it abruptly but we can help so that this warring forces will know what are the effects of their idle actions. I know life is really not fair as we can see it but it is JUST. We just need to overcome all our failings, and it starts from our very ownselves.
