My wife, Sayaka (who is Japanese) said she learned the phrase "stabbed in the bacK" yesterday. Can you guess what it means?stab (someone) in the back
(v.) to betray someone.
Background: stab means to stick someone with a knife so stab in the back is like you are sneaking up behind someone and hurting them. It's NOT a good thing to back stab someone.
Example sentence: "I told Dave not to tell anyone else my secret, but he totally stabbed me in the back and told everyone in school."
