Migs |
Zach: Hey, man. Can you take any longer with the shower?
Migs: Sorry! I went running this morning. I was sweaty, I was dirty, I needed to get clean!
Zach: Well, I hope you saved some hot water for me.
Migs: Well, I think there’s some left, but if there’s not, um, maybe you could go to the neighbor’s house.
Zach: That’s real considerate of you. I mean, I gotta get to work and I don’t want to freeze my butt off.
Migs: Well, sorry, man. I apologize.
Zach: That’s alright. Just, you know, like in the future, let’s just try to be more considerate of each other, OK?
Migs: OK, I’ll think about your needs every time I get in the shower.
Zach: Alright. No need to be sarcastic before I kick your ass.
Migs: I’m not too worried about it, tough guy.
Zach: Alright! Bring it on!
Migs: Let’s go!

Living with these two guys is really nice because whenever there is a problem, we can turn it into a joke. Zach wants to tell Migs that his showers are too long, and Migs apologizes. But just to make each other feel good, they pretend like they are fighting. This is very natural. Do you have roommates? What kinds of problems do you deal with? Come to the “Life Goes On” message board and share! See you next week,—John
