Last week Zach, Migs and I all went out to Boogie Woogie’s, a new bar in Portland. It had been a while since our last time out together, so we were ready for a fun time. Check out a conversation between Zach and myself about what happened!
Dialog

2. Study - Read the dialog again to see how the vocab words are used.
Zach: Dude, I feel pretty hung-over today.
John: So do I. I’ve been drinking water all day. What happened last night?
Zach: I don’t know. I kind of blacked-out. I don’t remember where we were, or…
John: I just remember… I remember leaving the office at 5:00 and just feeling terrible. I was so tired, just dreading the fact that we were going to go out, and I get the place, I get to our house, and you guys are in there, already drinking beers and then I start and we start having some vodka, and some Kahlua and…
Zach: White Russian?
John: Yeah. And we start playing that game, that “OR” game.
Zach: Yeah. After that, after the first drink or so, I think I was totally fired up to go out. And, uh, that Boogie Woogie’s place was pretty cool with the Dueling Pianos...
John: Yeah, that was really cool. And then you got on the stage and did your Elvis impersonation!
Zach: Yeah! I was dancing on stage with about three girls with my collar flipped up, singing along to Blue Suede Shoes.
John: Dude, you looked so funny. It was hilarious. Miguel and I were dying.
Zach: I’d have to say that the best part of the night was the, uh, salt-and-pepper wars at the end of the night. When, uh, you took a whole shaker of salt and dumped it on my head.
John: You gotta remember how that started! I was just sitting there having a conversation, and all of a sudden I feel this salt dripping down into my scalp and into my neck and turn around and you’ve got that little sinister smirk goin’ on, and I just knew right then that the war had begun.

Discussion
As you can see, Zach and I like to have as much fun as possible. After working on Ebaby! all week, sometimes it’s nice to cut loose. We wouldn’t recommend throwing salt and pepper around a public place, but it definitely can be fun! What kind of places do you like to go to to have fun? Tell us about it at the Life Goes On message board! See you next week!—John
