Go Super to Listen Go Super!

It’s pretty common for young Hollywood stars to lead crazy lives off-screen. Take Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, for instance. You’re more likely to find them dancing on tables than veging out at home on a Friday night. Or a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday night, for that matter.

But the actress Kirsten Dunst says she is different. She would rather stay in and do nothing than go out and be wild. She is a famous movie star who has appeared in films like Spider Man. But when she isn’t working, she likes to veg out.

The expression veg out comes from the word vegetable. A vegetable doesn’t do much. It just sits around on the table or in your refrigerator. So someone who acts like a vegetable by veging out doesn’t do anything but sit around.

Do you like to veg out, or do you prefer to be active during your free time?

I think this slang expression is a little similar to the the Couch potatoes slang. I kind of like this new slang because it tells me to slow down a little bit in my busy life, relax and appreciate the great things in life such as eating all my vegetables and not just beef I do not think that this slang implies to be a lazy bum and not do anything at home, vegging out tells me to have fun at home maybe by just reading slowly and quietly a great book at home.

Juninho, the correct usage is double"g", vegging out. According to the grammar rules if it a one-syllable word which ends in a consonant and a vowel precedes this consonant then in the Progressive (Continuous) Tenses the last consonant is doubled as is the case with "vegging out". Other examples may include, let – letting, run – running etc.

I like veging out on weekend. Home is a warmest place to stay and I don't need to think about many things except daydream. For me, veging out is the best way to relax.
