My English teacher once taught me an expression “turn on”—when someone turns you on, you’re interested in that person sexually or romantically because something he or she has is really attractive. So, I think that a turn-on might be something about a person that makes you interested in that person sexually, but I guess this time that that is something makes you exciting or spurs you on.
