Taylor: Couple nights ago, the American Idol eliminations happened to, ah, bring it down to twenty four contestants.
Dave: Out of how many?
Taylor: Out of, oh, thousands and thousands, but it had gotten whittled down from about a hundred or so in Hollywood down to these twenty four, who are really the best out of all those people. Um, there’s twelve girls, twelve boys now. There’s some outstanding talent. We’ve got some soul singers, some people who are very much into Michael Buble...
Dave: Oh yeah!
Taylor: ...and Frank Sinatra...
Dave: Oh, nice.
Taylor: ...and, ah, it’s especially cool because there’s this one person named Taylor, coincidentally, who, ah, who’s favorite singer is Van Morrison. He’s very caustic, he gets very soulful, he moves his body all around while he sings, and he has gray hair! 29 years old. He’s a fantastic singer. I’m really excited about this season.
Dave: It sounds like there’s a lot of unique people on this year.
Taylor: Well, you know, I’ve been looking at their profiles online at Idol On Fox.com, and just about everybody there is still into the contemporary artists. It’s amazing how many, you know, boys who are singing Sinatra and stuff list, ah, Usher as their favorite male artist.
Dave: Right, we’ll see who makes it to the final rounds, if any of the old crooner singers make it.
Taylor: Right, I’m excited to see what the results are going to be.
Dave: Cool. Well, keep us all posted.
Taylor: I will.

I’m generally of the motto: Go big, or go home! This means, if you are going to do something, take big risks and do it will all of your energy. Otherwise, don’t bother doing it.
In American Idol, the competition is getting hot. Twenty four contestants are competing for the chance to get a record deal with a major recording label.
Who will win?
Who knows?! But Taylor will surely keep us informed.
