Ever get the sense that someone is just full of baloney, that he doesn’t know what the heck he’s talking about?
To say that someone is full of baloney is to say that someone is full of nonsense and bad information. It’s a way of saying that someone does not know what he is talking about.
In the example above, Kevin Smith is saying that he wanted to make a movie about religous faith without filling it up with a lot of nonsense. He wanted to make a movie that was thoughtful, not one that was just full of baloney.
