Migs |
John: Hey, check out that deer out there.
Migs: What deer?
John: That one right there, outside our office window.
Migs: What’s it doing?
John: I don’t know. It looks like it might be sleeping, or taking a nap.
Migs: That’s not that big of deal. There’s deer out there all the time.
John: Really?
Migs: Yeah. There’s a whole family of them – a mom, a dad and a little baby. It’s really cute.
John: It’s really cool how he feels comfortable enough to sleep just right there, behind the building.
Migs: Yeah, I don’t know about cool – I’d say stupid. There’s a big dog that the neighbor has, it tries to chase them down and eat them.
John: Yeah, I’ve seen that guy. He comes in and he chases the raccoons and the squirrels, too.
Migs: Yeah, he’s a real terror.
John: He thinks he owns the place.
Migs: I guess so.

As civilization grows, we slowly move into wildlife areas. It’s sad to think that people all over the world are taking the homes of animals. It’s fun to see them living in the same space as we do, but then again, they would probably be much happier without us. Do you live in the country or the city? What kinds of animals do you have living around you? Come to the “Life Goes On” message board and share! See you next week,—John
