Last week, when Marni and Mason told Beren about their new friends Ella and Dale, she seemed to sense something was a little strange about them. She probably didn’t guess that they are undercover cops who have come to investigate her kidnapping of her twin, but she seemed sketched out.
Now Beren will meet Dale and Ella face to face for the first time. Can they fool her like they’ve fooled Mason and Marni?

Ella: Hey. Dale, Dale.
Dale: Ah, Beren. Beren!
Ella: Oh my gosh.
Dale: Beren! How you doin’? How you doin’?
Ella: Hi.
Beren: Do I know you?
Dale: I’m Dale.
Ella: Ella.
Beren: Hi.
Ella: We know Marni and Mason.
Dale: Yeah.
Beren: Really?
Ella: We’ve heard so much about you and we just…We love your band. We’re groupies. We are big fans.
Beren: Weird.
Dale: So when’s your next band practice?
Beren: Ah…I’m not in a band.
Dale: You’re not in a band?
Beren: No.
Dale: What happened?
Beren: It’s a long story.
Dale: Long story. So what do you do now?
Beren: Nothing.
Dale: Nothing really. Are you living anywhere? Are you doing things? What’s your…
Beren: Yeah, I have a house.
Dale: You have a house. So, where’s that at? Oh, you know, we’re friends with Marni and Mason.
Ella: We just want to…
Beren: No, you said that…
Dale: Yeah. We just want to know…
Beren: Where do you know them from? That’s weird.
Dale: Yeah.
Ella: We just ran into them and we just talked to them and then we knew that we were fans of your band and then it was just this huge coincidence. It was amazing.
Dale: And with that being said, so what are you doing these days?
Beren: Uh…
Ella: We’re just so curious.
Dale: Yeah.
Beren: Huh.
Dale: Do you…I don’t even…Are you doing…
Beren: No.
Dale: Where are you going now?
Beren: I got…No. I just have to…
Ella: We would just love to hang out with you.
Dale: Yeah…
Ella: The whole gang. The whole gang.
Beren: Alright.
Dale: Are you sure? I mean, we could always hang out.
Ella: We’ll buy you a drink.
Dale: Yeah. You can always call us any time. We’re always ready to go. It was nice meeting you.
Ella: Come back.
Dale: You can call us any time. Where’s she goin’?
Ella: Basement? That’s odd.

Ella and Dale stop Beren outside the elevator and ask her about her band. She tells them that she’s not in a band, but anyone who uses Ebaby! a lot knows that’s a lie. She’s talked touring and recording with her band.
As Beren waits for the elevator, Dale and Ella get really nervous and start talking about how they’re friends with Mason and Marni. Beren realizes that they’re up to something, so she gets on the elevator and takes it to the basement. It seems pretty clear that Beren is onto them. Do you think Ella and Dale will save Beren from her twin? Have you ever had to try to fool someone who was onto you?
