Most creatures, including humans, are not monogamous by nature. In fact, in the animal kingdom, monogamy is extremely rare. But most of us still hope to find someone who will be loving and loyal to us for the rest of our lives. And cheating in a relationship is often unforgivable.

Recently, the whole world learned that Tiger Woods cheated on his wife, not just once, but many, many times. Find out if Ella and Jason think Tiger’s wife made the right choice by deciding to leave him.

Jason:  I was surprised to learn that Tiger Woods cheated on his wife.

Ella:  I know! I was seriously so disheartened by the whole thing, because he’s like the poster boy of innocence and being good and you just…he seems so loyal, and all of a sudden these secrets came out.

Jason:  Yeah. And he didn’t just cheat once.

Ella:  I know!

Jason:  He had like a harem.

Ella:  He…yeah. It was impressive almost.

Jason:  There wasn’t another woman, there was like soccer team.

Ella:  I know. You’d expect this from rap stars, not golf players.

Jason:  Seriously, not a really wholesome guy, you know…

Ella:  It seemed like such a secret, but really everyone knew, after they did interviews with other celebrities. It was just kind of a mum’s-the-word kinda deal and everyone kept it on the lowdown.

Jason:  Yeah, I guess there must have just been a lot of sneaking around. But his wife, she left him.

Ella:  She did?

Jason:  Yeah. But other ones stay, you know, like Kobe’s wife stayed. But would you ever forgive someone for cheating on you?

Ella:  I feel like I would be more disturbed if there was emotional cheating rather than physical. Physical’s like “alright.”

Jason:  Is it ‘cause you can understand the physical cheating more?

Ella:  Yeah. Makes sense.

Jason:  Have you ever cheated on anybody?

Ella:  Maybe.

Jason:  Ah-ha!

Jason and Ella were both shocked to hear about Tiger Woods’ infidelities. He has always had a wholesome image, so most people were surprised to learn that he cheated on his wife with many different women.

Ella thinks a lot of people knew about Tiger’s cheating before the news came out. But they kept it quiet so it wouldn’t ruin his reputation. When his wife learned how unfaithful he had been, she decided to leave him.

But as Jason points out, some people choose to stay with their partners even after they find out that they have been unfaithful. Ella thinks she might forgive someone for cheating if it was just physical. But she wouldn’t be able to forgive her partner if he fell in love with someone else.

Would you forgive someone for cheating on you? What is worse, emotional cheating or physical cheating? Do you think Tiger’s wife made the right choice by leaving him?

Of course! She is totally right! I guess cheating on someone is always bad! worse if it be in a relationship ;) If you betray someone in a relationship you run the risk of getting caught! So,What do you still want to explain?!

Between emotional or physical cheating,I guess emotional cheating is worse because when feeling are involved it means the relationship is over! But both are bad ;)

No I wouldn't forgive someone cheating on me… but that's not mean I would leave him either (if we were involved in a marriage for example). All are worst, neither emotional nor physical cheating, both cause heart pain.

Maybe yes maybe not about Tiger's wife decision, in depends on the situations, but maybe that's the right decision because he cheated more than twice with some women… it's good that she's not gonna kill him!

Cheating is a controversial issue in any situation. Nobody wants to get through that, as i do. Ive never cheated, also i think, never was cheated for a boyfriend. In this case, its easier said than done. we shouldnt misjudge people if we dont know the whole story. So, before points out someone look to your own life.

These so called sexual "instincts" – as you put it, are as equally primal in women as in men.  What women have that maybe most men don't have is control – self-control.  As well, they have loyalty and honesty – they know the value of promise and commitment.

"Which forces" us?  My sexual needs are forced by me – I am in complete control.  I guess I don't see it.  I mean, I force my penis to go where I want it, and not it forcing me to do anything or to go places that I don't want or choose for it do or to go.  Sorry if my frankness offended anyone.  That wasn't my intentions.

I think the women should take it easier, if a man cheat them, but only physically. U must understand (I meant the women) that we men all have the qualities of hunting of females deep inside, which forces us to look for new females who can satisfy our sexual needs. No real guys could stay at their partner forever. Its a natural inner physical necessity of us which derives from the acient times and u can observe it at animals as well. However if there is about a family with children it can cause a lot of trouble and hard to forgive. All in all if a man cannot keep his native sexual instinct under controll is something that have always been and will be probably in the future too.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I once believed or thought that"cheating" was a personal issue.  But I am now thinking that it is a social issue with worldwide ramifications.  I am thinking that disloyalty and infidelity are two of the world's greatest crimes against children and should be treated as such.  The number of bastard children throughout the world should be an embarrassment to all of us.

This is a very complicated issue. Both emotional cheating and physical cheating are unforgivable. If you don't like your wife/husband anymore, just leave her/him and find another person, don not cheat. If your cheating because of impulsion, then you are weak and your love is not deep enough, you should not do it at the first time.

So,don't cheat, love your another half and live a happy life.

Agree with @handwriter, if one of the husband and wife cheat on each other, he/she should forget each other one time because of their children if they have children.

I thing many family might encounter this problem, they have to ponder what consequence will appear if they breat up becasue it is a big problem not just to themselves, also to their  own family, and their next generation.

In regards to a lover’s relationship, couples or lovers tend to expect sexual monogamy of each other – therefore cheating commonly refers to adultery – the actual act of having sexual intercourse with someone other than one’s spouse.

May I suggest however, there are other acts of infidelity of which I would say that most “lovers” are guilty of committing – and quite possibly on a regular bases.  Cheating by thinking of, touching and talking with someone you are sexually attracted to – other than your spouse – may be equally damaging to one of whom you are “promised” to – and to me, this is an act or acts of infidelity.  I would label this as “emotional cheating.”

Emotional cheating, in my opinion, should be considered emotional abuse; of which in many countries is treated as seriously in a court of law as is physical cheating.

I believe that cheating constitutes doing anything, whether verbal or physical, that one would not do in front of their significant other. May I suggest such examples as: expressing attraction to another person, electronic communications (yes, chatting with anyone whom you might not want your spouse to know), kissing, making out, flirting, etc.

I believe that all of these acts are in violation of the generally unwritten mutually agreed-upon rules or boundaries of a lover’s relationship, and therefore, constitute acts of infidelity.

So maybe none of us are clean – we are all dirty and are all in need of being forgiven.

I think his wife made the right choice. I would totally kick my boyfriend's ass when I know he is cheating on me. That's unforgiveable, if he's not happy with me then tell me and I will make him free:D
