John: What’s your favorite microbrew, Kyle?
Kyle: I dunno. I really like this, uh, Bridgeport Brewery that was located down here.
John: What kind of beer did you like of theirs?
Kyle: I can’t even remember, it’s been closed down for so long.
John: Well, maybe the IPA, or the.
Kyle: Oh yeah. Definitely a fan of the IPA.
John: Yeah. That’s a good one. Ya know, I like this one called Terminal Gravity.
Kyle: I had that once before, I think at a bar called Henry’s.
John: Yeah. I don’t know the name of the brewery that makes it, but I think it’s local.
Kyle: Yeah. It’s pretty good.
John: How many, uh, breweries are there in Portland, like 10 or something?
Kyle: I dunno. It seems like a lot. I think Oregon’s gotta be one of the capitols of the microbrewery.
John: Yeah. That’s what I’ve heard. It’s a good thing we live here.
Kyle: That’s right. Microbrewery fans.

We are pretty lucky to live in a city with so much good beer. It’s part of our culture here in Portland to hang out at microbreweries and have a nice tall pint.
Many microbreweries have restaurants attached or feature live music. Although minors can’t usually go into bars, most microbreweries allow people of all ages.
It’s cool because you can even check out the brewing process! Have you ever been to a microbrewery or tried a microbrew?
