not one’s preference, not something one really enjoys

Go Super to Listen Go Super!

The British love their tea. So it isn’t surprising to hear an English expression that uses tea. And it’s not just the British who use the expression not my cup of tea. Even though most Americans prefer coffee over tea, they’ll still say something is not their cup of tea if they don’t like it. An American might even say that tea is not his cup of tea!

Since many English people love tea, a cup of tea came to mean something pleasant and enjoyable. So something that is not your cup of tea is something that you don’t find enjoyable. It’s something you do not like or prefer.

The actor Mark Wahlberg may not be a tea drinker, but he still uses the expression not my cup of tea to talk about the kind of characters he prefers playing in movies. Wahlberg doesn’t like playing characters who are too perfect or nice. That’s just not his cup of tea. He would rather play bad boys or tough guys. You could say the characters he likes to play aren’t like tea at all, because they aren’t pleasant, easy-going or cozy. They’re more like a strong shot of whiskey.

What kinds of movies, hobbies, activities or foods are not your cup of tea?

I do my best do not put people in the painful situation when their jealousy may start. I expect the same actions towards me in return ;)

I sometimes have struggles with my jealousy. I feel jealous when others do better than me while I’m working hard. I totally don’t believe that I’m a jealous person but sometimes I feel jealous and just try not to show that.

In my opinion jealousy is something natural and sometimes it causes success. It happens to everyone but the important thing is how to manage it.

Don’t put your opinion about jealousy in the simplier way. I understood your thoughts :)

To determine jealousy in person in front of you is easy like to breath :)

You ask tricky questions Lesya.

I’m not  a medium or a mind reader, I’m a keen observer ,  a word, a gesture, the tone of a voice I watch it all and take all into account. I guess that’s what I meant by detecting jealousy from miles away. Have you heard of that expression before “you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig?”. That’s how I see jealousy. I don’t really know how to put it more simply; it’s like an instinctive signal you get from someone who is being jealous, it’s hard to hide and you can’t contain it for so long inside.

Teach me please how can you smell and detect jealousy from oceans and miles away? You have an extrasensory perception, Snoopyboy.

I understand you. Jealousy disarms you. The honest and blunt boy is dying inside you and you are getting a phony-boy.

The subject of jealousy is an extensive one.

Have I ever felt myself jealous and proud at the same time? Can’t remember, really. I’m not sure. The last attack of jealousy I had when I was 15 years old. Of course, nobody could see me in that harsh attack. I was struggling with that feeling alone. My jealous of teenager was ludicrous. I remember I was crying, I torn to pieces the pillow on my bed. Actually, there was not serious reason for me to be jealous as I can analyse now. I suppose I buried my jealousy inside the pile of the down of the pillow on that emotional day. It was the first and the last attack of jealousy in my life.

Since that day I don’t know how jealousy is look like. My husband never gives me a reason for jealousy. So do I towards him.

We both just take it easy. We both trust each other so much.

You all try to tell me. Jealousy and love walk together.

I don’t know may be something wrong with me but I left jealousy behind my back long time ago. I conquered it.  Love is always with me.

You know…… it is very difficult for me to cope with envious and jealous friends. I hate these shortcomings. Due to my super tolerance to people I still can bear envious people around me. They are so ridiculous in the state of their envy or jealous or envy and jealous together.

I always feel myself higher than they are when I see how envious or jealous they are. I feel my own victory under these  impertinent feelings.

Your words and your pretense in this photo can only translate one thing: humility.

kotlesya, you are not the only one who love tea on English, baby! Here I am:)) I love tea too. I am also not English man and I don’t have to be. As parion said drinking tea is traditional her in Turkey.

We produce our own tea. maybe Turkish Tea is not as famous as English Tea but if you visit Turkey one day you should taste Turkish tea.

Katarine Branning ( an American author) wrote a book about Turkish Tea and it’s famous in Turkey recently. The name of the book is “ Yes, I Would Love Another Glass of The”
