Often, things lead up to one moment known as the moment of truth. You may have been studying for weeks, but the test is the moment of truth. Maybe you have been planning for months to ask a girl you like on a date. When you finally talk to her, that’s the moment of truth.

The moment of truth is the time when you can wait no longer. You must take the test. You must make a decision. You must either succeed or fail.

These last weeks, Devan has been planning to offer Amanda a job. Meanwhile, Mason has learned that Vanessa is cheating on him. Suddenly, everyone finds themselves in the office, and at the moment of truth, at the same time.

Devan: Thanks so much for coming down, Amanda.

Amanda: Oh yeah, totally. No problem. The pleasure was actually all mine.

Devan: Well, I brought you here because I wanted to tell you that the job is all yours. Congratulations!

Amanda: Thank you. I’ve gotta be honest with you. I just don’t know if I can work with someone I love that I can’t have.

Mason: Trust me, you get used to it.

Vanessa: Oh, hi. I didn’t…

Mason: You didn’t what, Vanessa? You didn’t expect me to be here? Well, I am here. We’re all here, and that makes this the moment of truth. I’ve heard there might be some things happening behind my back, and I want to know about them!

Devan: Yeah, I want to know about them too. And, Amanda, I want to know if you’re going to take the job or not because I’ve got a lot of other applicants to call back if you’re not.

Amanda: Well, this is kind of like the moment of truth, you know? I mean, if you’re cheating on you, I might actually have a chance at getting back together with Mason, so, I don’t know.

Vanessa: Can’t we talk about this another time?

Dale: Yeah!

Jason: No!

Devan: This has to be decided right now.

Devan offers Amanda a job. Amanda says she is not sure if she can accept because she doesn’t want to work with Mason if she can’t have him back.

Just then, Vanessa walks in, and Mason confronts her about cheating on him. Amanda says this is the moment of truth. All will be decided now. If Amanda has a chance of being with Mason, she will take the job. If not, she will leave.

Vanessa asks if this can be discussed later. Everyone agrees that it cannot.
