Cindy

Steph:  I’m really worried about the volcano going off.

Cindy:  Oh. Do you think it’s gonna go off soon?

Steph:  I don’t know. I’m really scared about how to be prepared for that. What would you do to be prepared for a volcano to go off?

Cindy:  Wow. I guess just, I would have my car ready and know how to get out of town the fastest.

Steph:  That’s a good idea, like an escape route or something?

Cindy:  Yeah.

Steph:  Gosh! That’s so scary though. I mean, where would you go?

Cindy:  Away.

Steph:  What about food and water?

Cindy:  Yeah. You’re always supposed to have some extras of those things. Like some canned goods and a few gallons of water and.

Steph:  Do you keep that stuff in your car?

Cindy:  I don’t right now. I guess I should.

Steph:  I know. It’s weird. I never think about that, but you never know when you could be in an emergency.

Cindy:  That’s true. That’s a good point.

Steph:  Especially a volcano being so close to us.

Cindy:  Especially a volcano.

Discussion

I’ve heard people say that you should be prepared to survive at least a week with the supplies in your house. With the amount of time we Americans spend in our cars, we need to think about the possibility of disaster striking while we are on the road too. I’ve tried to get a preparedness kit together for my car, but I always end up drinking my bottled water or eating my snack bars on the way to work. There has got to be a better way!
Have a great weekend!
