Definition

1. Definition - Study the definition.

crazy, messed up, mad, weird, not mentally normal, not totally sane

2. Use - Learn how the slang is used.

You should be a little bit careful when you use screwed up. Some people could take offense if you told them they were screwed up.
If you tell someone they are screwed up, you’re telling them that they are not normal. You’re telling them that they are a little bit crazy. You’re saying that their brain is not working correctly.
(Screwed up can also be used in another way – and you should know the difference between the two uses. You could say, “I screwed up.” If you said that, you would be saying that you made an error; that you did something wrong. For example, if you broke one of your mom’s favorite plates, you screwed up. You made a mistake. But you’re not crazy.)

Examples

1. Examples - Hear some example sentences.

””My mom is kinda screwed up. This morning, she said she would pick me up after school today, but it’s Saturday! I don’t go to school on Saturdays! I don’t know what she was thinking.”“

””I feel screwed up right now. I think it’s because I’m sick. I have a headache and I can’t think. I need to go home and go to sleep.”“

””Tod is really screwed up. He can never remember to tie his shoes. He’s always tripping on the laces.”“
