“Moulin Rouge” is one of the most popular movies in the U.S. right now. Part of the reason it’s so popular is because it has a great soundtrack. “Lady Marmalade” is one of the songs from the movie and it’s playing on radio stations everywhere, as well as on MTV and hundreds of websites.

Tanis: Hey Joe!

Joe: Hi Tanis! How are you doing today?

Tanis: Oh pretty good. I just got back from lunch and you know what? (Laughs)

Joe: What’s that?

Tanis: Well, I can’t stop wanting to dance ‘cause I was just listening to that new song “Lady Marmalade” have you heard that one?

Joe: Oh yeah! Yeah I have. That’s a great song! It has like four different or five different musicians?

Tanis: Oh yeah. It has ah like four really hot female artists right now, um, Lil Kim…

Joe: Oh okay yeah.

Tanis: I’m sure you know Lil Kim! (laughs)

Joe: She’s off the hook!

Tanis: Yeah! She totally is! (Laughs) And then Mya…

Joe: Mya. Alright.

Tanis: And have you seen Pink?

Joe: I don’t think I’ve seen Pink.

Tanis: She has just bright pink hair and she has a really, she’s super buff and then she has a really powerful voice. But nobody’s voice is as powerful as Christina Aguilera’s and she’s the last one in the quartet.

Joe: Oh wow. So Christina Aguilera rounds out the group huh?

Tanis: Yeah. She totally rounds out the group both just the four of them and then at the end of the song she’s kinda the one that comes in and closes it and she’s just outta control.

Joe: Cool.

Joe and Tanis both enjoy listening to “Lady Marmalade.” They’re impressed by the number of great singers who came together to create the song. Tanis especially likes Christina Aguilera – who has the most powerful voice of the four.
I really like this song and I really liked the movie as well. I recommend both of them!
