I didn’t want to write about the terrorist attacks again this week, but it’s still hard to think about anything else. Every other topic seems meaningless in comparison.
So, I decided to write about a song that has been playing on the radio a lot lately. It was written and recorded by Enya, and it’s called “Only Time.”
Dialog
1. Listen and Read - Listen to the audio and read the dialog at the same time.

“Only Time” is on the radio a lot these days because, in the song, Enya sings about the uncertainty of life and love. She captures the current feelings of millions of people around the world. Here are some of her lyrics:
Who can say
if your love grows
as your heart chose
- only time
And who can say
where the road goes
where the day flows
- only time
Who knows – only time
Who knows – only time
“Only Time” is on Enya’s latest album, entitled A Day Without Rain.

Discussion
Her lyrics are simple, but in “Only Time” Enya expresses so much. The idea that none of us knows what is going to happen next is not a new one, but it is profound and poignant.
