Usher was born in Tennessee, but he now lives Atlanta and he’s an important part of the music scene in the South. Until recently, he was dating Chilli, one of the girls in the group TLC. She was featured in the music videos for three of his previous hit songs, “U Don’t Have to Call,” “U Got It Bad” and “U Remind Me.”
Usher’s newest album, Confessions, comes out this week. It features the hit song “Yeah!” Check out some of the lyrics:
I’m in the club with my homies,
tryna get a lil V-I,
keep it down on the low key,
cause you know how it feels.
I said shorty she was checkin up on me,
from the game she was spittin my ear
you’d think that she knew me.
So we decided to chill

Discussion

Usher is one of those guys that I’ve never been able to get a handle on. I mean, I like some of his songs, but I’ve never bought any of his albums. I just don’t think they’re that good. Each one features a few great songs, but the rest aren’t really worth listening to.
I’ve checked out Confessions and it seems like the same story. There are a couple of 5031 songs, but I don’t think it’s something I’d like to listen to on a regular basis.
Rock on,
Migs
