In a hostage situation, the easy part for the criminal is making demands. You saw that last week when Dale and Ella chased Evil Beren into her hideout and she called them on the phone to tell what she wanted to release her twin. The hard part, however, is making the switch, and that’s what today’s episode of the Ebaby! soap opera is about.
Evil Beren told Dale and Ella to meet her at the waterfront at 12. Watch as they arrive a little before noon to wait for her. Will they rescue Beren or will she doublecross them?
3. Watch - Watch the video without reading the dialog.

Dale: This is where we’re supposed to meet, right?
Ella: Yeah. I mean…It’s five ‘till so she should be here any minute.
Dale: Any minute now.
Ella: Any minute.
Dale: Any minute. Where is she? Gosh.
Ella: Yeah. We’ve been waiting here for a while.
Dale: What time is it? What time did she tell you?
Ella: I mean, she said twelve, noon. Noon is twelve.
Dale: Yeah. That’s right. Well it’s half past right now so…
Ella: I feel like we’ve been here forever.
Dale: Gosh.
Ella: Well, we’re not gonna…We don’t have anything else to do, so…
Dale: Well, we might as well make sure we don’t miss her
Ella: Yeah. That sounds good.
Dale: You know what?
Ella: What?
Dale: I think she meant midnight! What time is it?
Ella: It’s quarter ‘till. I’m tired!
Dale: There she is.
Ella: What the…
Dale: She’s early. OK. Hey. You got her?
Dale: Right here. Right here.
Dale: Yeah. It’s in here.
Dale: Alright.
Dale: Let’s do this right. Let’s do it.
Dale: On three. One. Three! What a second! Get over here! You’re under arrest.
Ella: Are you OK?
Dale: Alright young lady, you’re under arrest. Let’s go.
Jason: I love that the weather is warming up. We get to come out here for these, like, midnight strolls.
Devan: I know.
Jason: Wait, is that…Is that Beren? Being arrested?
Devan: What!?
Jason: By Dale and Ella?
Devan: What!?
Jason: Dale! What’s going on?
Dale: Official police business!
Jason: But it’s Beren!
Dale: No. No it’s not! Police business!
Devan: That’s Beren. That…
Jason: But it’s…But…But…But there’s two!

One tricky thing about telling time in English is if someone says “12 o’clock” it could mean noon or midnight. As Dale and Ella found out, that’s a big difference! They waited for Beren for almost 12 hours before she showed up.
When she came, Dale tricked her not counting to three when they planned to exchange her twin for her demands. Then he arrested her.
Meanwhile, Jason and Devan happened to be out enjoying the night on a walk. They’re extremely confused when they find Dale and Ella arresting Beren and then see that Beren has a twin!
