The singer Nicki Minaj knows how to catch people’s attention. She loves to wear candy-colored wigs and wild costumes that are strange and dazzling to look at. When it comes to fashion, she loves eye candy.
Eye candy is like a delicious treat for your eyes. It’s something you enjoy looking at. But just like regular candy that you eat, eye candy often doesn’t have much substance. When you say that a person is eye candy, you might mean that he or she is wonderful to look at, but isn’t very smart or interesting.
However, eye candy is usually used in a positive sense. Nicki Minaj says there will be a lot of eye candy on her tour with Britney Spears. She means that there will be a lot to look at during their performances. There will probably be tons of back-up dancers, elaborate sets, and crazy costumes. And don’t forget Britney and Nicki themselves! Some would say that those two are pretty sweet to look at, too.
Would you want to date someone who was just eye candy?
