What brings you comfort, or makes you comfortable? A warm blanket and a hot drink, perhaps, or your favorite teddy bear. It could be taking a warm bath or reading a good book. It’s probably not jumping out of a plane, though. Right? An activity like that is more likely to take you out of your comfort zone.
If an activity takes you out of your comfort zone, it makes you nervous and unsure of yourself. For example, a common fear is speaking in front of a large group. For a lot of people, having to do that would take them out of their comfort zones. In fact, it might make their hearts beat faster and their hands become wet.
Some people believe that you should really try to take yourself out of your comfort zone. They think that doing this makes you stronger and more brave. Actor Vanessa Hudgens is one of those people. She feels that stepping out of her comfort zone will help her to grow.
