I’ve been really into reading lately. In the past month, I’ve read the following three books, each of which is totally different from the others:
The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
The Da Vinci Code is a story about a murder that happens in the Louvre museum in Paris and the two people who join forces to try to solve the mysterious crime. Robert Langdon and Sophie Neveu try to figure out what happened and why there is a series of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo Da Vinci. They travel through Paris, London, and history, trying to find answers before it’s too late.
Shopgirl by Steve Martin
Steve Martin is a famous actor, but he’s also a great writer. Shopgirl is an interesting story about a girl who works in the glove department of Neiman’s in Los Angeles. Nobody ever buys gloves, so she stands around being bored all day. The rest of her life isn’t much more exciting, until she meets Mr. Ray Porter. He is a millionaire from Seattle who treats her in a way she’s never been treated before. Unfortunately, their relationship is complicated and leaves both of them feeling somewhat unhappy.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Jane Austen is one of the most famous authors in history. Her novels, such as Emma, Persuasion and Mansfield Park, are classics. Nearly all of them have been made into films. Pride and Prejudice is no exception. In fact, it might be Austen’s best book. The main character, Elizabeth Bennet, is a great character. She is both endearing and frustrating at the same time, as is her counterpart, Mr. Darcy. It becomes obvious early in the book that the two of them should be together, but you have to wait until the end to find out if they ever overcome their problems and decide to love each other.

Discussion

If you like novels, you’ll love all three of these books. Each one is unique and different from the others, but they all contain a romantic storyline that is complicated by lots of complex problems. If you’re looking for a good book to read, check one of them out today!
