If you’ve ever boiled water in a kettle before, you know that at some point, that kettle has to blow. Sometimes, people have to blow off steam too. When you have a lot of pressure or stress built up inside you that needs to be released, you can say you need to blow off steam.

There are lots of different ways to blow off steam. The comedian Kristen Wigg, who starred in Bridesmaids, likes to blow off steam by partying. You can also blow off steam by working out, talking through your problems with friends, or taking a long walk. Sometimes, just being alone in a calm space can help you blow off steam.

jmchezz my favorite way of blowing off steam. Another method is to write down your thoughts and feeling. This way you share everything that make you feel uncomfortable.


At the moment I need some period to blow off steam and relax. Hope this summer I’ll be able to do it.

It depends on the situation ,but most of the time weeping,talking to a close and concerned friend about the problem,doing exercise or dancing , writing whatever annoys you on a piece of paper or in your diary consecutively can work and for some people specially men , shouting or hitting sth seems to be effective too.

When somethings complicated or hard situations happen to me, firstly I will cry :),but after few time ( it depends on how hard it was!;) ) .


I decide to blow off steam with hard working!I make myself busy with something new! Learning new art,cooking new foods, having fun with new hobby or communicate with new friends ( like comming to Ebaby ;) )! Travelling and going out with my dear friends help me so much too,but I dont want to be alone at all!


I dont let me to be sad or angry for long time ,I always help myself to live better and I’ve been successful so far!:)

For me it’s any unexpected situation. When you expect that everything goes smoothly, you’re relaxed and happy and then, all of a sudden, an unexpected criticism, remark or betrayal which just like a backstab and you feel very upset , shocked or frustrated. I think it happens to everyone, even to thick-skinned people who have different reason to blow off steam. Interesting question, people react differently on the same stimulus. For some people just the view of the mess can be a reason to blow off steam. Not for me Smile
