Winter

As I've been getting older, I've noticed my tolerance for cold weather has been decreasing. I don't know if it's that I'm getting more frail in my old age and more sensitive to climate changes, or if getting older is making me grumpy and hate everything, including the weather, hot or cold.

Here in the Northwest of the US, we're getting ready for what is supposed to be brutal winter. Snow, ice, rain, sleet, hail and more have all been predicted. I'm ready to head for warmer pastures, and sunnier skies.

Do you prefer cold or hot weather? Do you like the rain or does it make you gloomy?

guojiawang China	I have the same feeling with you when it rains, though I am just 18 years old.I don't like rainy day,because it makes me oppresive.Instead,I like sunny day even in summer!I hope every people are shined any place in there hear, including you!

Lynnn China	I like snow, not rain. I like sunny, not gloomy. I am now in Beijing, China, and feel the weather is very well, except cloud sometimes. But it's really very sunny, and I am always very happy when I see the sun rises every morning. How wonderful it is!

The region I live in is known as the pole of cold, here the lowest temperatures were recorded -72C but it was long ago. When I was a kid we used to have -50-55 every winter, we didn't go to school as they said we had to be kept home warm and safe but we always spent much time outside as those days were like small vacations. Now the temperatures are not lower than -47C (in my town but there are towns where it can be much lower up to -55-60C). But...when we have summer ...we enjoy the sun, the blue sky, warm water in the rivers and ponds and moslty it's +25+30C. As i've been living here for two decades I am absolutelly sure that the weather is getting warmer. And I like it because -47 is better than -60 and the fog is so thick that you are able to see only a couple meters ahead (but i don't mention the problems with floods, vegetation and animals caused by weather changing). So my idea is the following - I prefer warm and hot weather but I know if i stay the hot place long i will start miss cold, snowflakes, fog and snow...rain and fresh air after it...
