Every day, over 25,000 passenger airplane flights are taken. That means a whole lot of people are flying through the sky at any given moment. Even though flying in planes is now almost as routine as driving a car, there’s still something amazing about it.

But airplane travel is also uncomfortable and annoying. From the cramped seats to the bad food (if you’re lucky enough to have food served on your flight at all), flying can be a pretty stressful and unpleasant experience. It certainly isn’t as easy as the birds make it look. Hear Jason and Amy talk about traveling by plane.

Jason:  Have you ever flown first class?

Amy:  Once. I got a free upgrade, and it was amazing.

Jason:  Isn’t it?

Amy:  It would be so much better if you could just fly first class, especially on international travel. They have those seats now that turn into beds.

Jason:  They do?

Amy:  Yes! They lie all the way down.

Jason:  That’s all I want on a plane. It’s so miserable that I just want the time to pass as quickly as possible.

Amy:  I know. I was on a flight recently that had so little leg room that even for me there was not enough leg room, and I’m a very petite girl.

Jason:  Yeah.

Amy:  And for a six-foot tall guy, it seems like so uncomfortable.

Jason:  And I swear every flight I’m on has at least four babies.

Amy:  I know.

Jason:  At the same time though, I feel bad. Every time I’m on a flight and get really irritable and be like, “I just wish I was in a bed and not this uncomfortable seat!” I have to stop and go, “But I am flying through the air. That’s pretty miraculous.”

Amy:  It’s true.

Discussion

Go Super to Listen Go Super!

Jason asks Amy if she has ever flown first class. She says she only got to fly first class once, and it was a great experience. She and Jason both wish they could fly first class all the time, especially on international flights. It would make airplane travel a lot more comfortable.

Jason and Amy talk about the different things that make flying uncomfortable. Often, there isn’t enough leg room on planes. Jason says it seems like there are always babies crying on planes, too. But he still thinks it’s amazing that we’re able to fly at all.
Do you like flying? What are the best and worst parts of airplane travel?

And her mom trying to explain to her ” Honey…it’s not what you think it is…she was afraid and jump onto the man’s lap, just like mommy did  to daddy when it was storming the other night”

it’s okay Kotlesya to have flown just once. The main thing is that you really enjoyed it, but most importantly is that you are planning to experiment it in the future. I hope that day will come very soon. But in the meantime find the nearest roller coaster and feed your appetite for speed and height.

I love height and speed. I have no fear to fly. I can imagine your reaction after the words I will say now :) I had an experience to fly only ONCE in my life and I enjoyed it. I have the great plans to start to travel one day so I hope I will fly as much as I like in the future. :))))

Ahoo Golzar! mmm…

to be in a box suspended in air, in that case you’ll either be a “pinata”, or Baba Yaga

Ahoo, probable many people are also afraid of being   suspended in the air  ,and to cope with it they take  pills  to keep relax.    I like some  red wine or whisky  ,although  they will gladly give you a glass of wine and charge you  a few bucks for the whisky.

Ola33 : ” ma’am I’ll have another gin and tonic, it helps me cope through the  turbulance”

Flight attendant: “Errr… but we’ve already landed!”

Ola33 : ” have we?, but  why is the plane all shaky and stuff?”

Snoopy, I just follow the lead of the famous Luis Bunuel. Every time he got nervous on the plane, he asked for a gin with tonic. I tried, it helped!

In Canada, there’re many lakes with all those greeny weedy scary views. No picturesque little fish, only big carps passing by or bumping into you. One of my friends was scubadiving in BC. Came across a seal underwater.

For snorkeling, the best place is Cuba, Mexico…
